Laundry On Sundaes

Every beginning is only a sequel, after all, and the book of events is always open halfway through.

Since we can’t paint the walls in or dorms here at Columbia, I have to get a little more creative to spice up those white walls. This year I did removable wall decals, but here’s an interesting idea to consider for next year: making designs on walls with Japanese masking tape. They’re tape made from Japanese washi paper and they come in all sorts of pretty colors and patterns.

Now check out this wicked idea from Little Green Book.

Isn’t it awesome? The diamond design looks like it requires a lot of measurements though, but stripes are always easy enough, right? I am totally doing this for my dorm next year, maybe just one accent wall. So excited!
