Laundry On Sundaes

Every beginning is only a sequel, after all, and the book of events is always open halfway through.

Here’s a super quick and easy DIY project: a letter rack made from a magazine.

I’m sure everybody has made one of those magazine flowers before, but did you know that they actually have a use too besides being pretty? Here’s how you turn any old magazine into a useful tool for organizing you letters, memos, cards, etc.

First, choose a magazine. Make sure that it had the thick kind of binding and not stapled kind.

Next, make your magazine flower by bending a few pages and inserting them into the binding. I did 6 pages at a time to make the petals sturdy enough.

There you have your magazine flower! You can dab a bit of hot glue onto the ends of the binding to hold the whole thing together if you like.

Now you can put the letters and other papers you want to organize into the slots between the petals :)
